Shipping Policy

Orient 499 ships with DHL to deliver our products worldwide. Every item you purchase is hand packed and shipped from our gallery in Beirut, Lebanon or from our Dubai Store, depending on the location of the product.

All the products on our website are exclusive of all taxes and duties. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to.

We offer free international shipping on our clothing line for orders above 200 USD. For all other items, international shipping cost is calculated based on a number of factors including the shipping method, the volumetric weight of the items purchased and the destination of the package.

Shipping time is usually 3-5 working days to any part of the world.

Please keep the signed proof of delivery receipt in case you might request a return.

Important Delivery Information

We recommend that you consider the following information:

- All orders require a signature upon receipt,

- We are unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched, so please ensure there is someone who can sign for your order at the specified shipping address,

- DHL does not deliver to P.O. Boxes or use General Delivery,

- If DHL does not find anyone at the indicated address, it will try to deliver the package two more times, leaving a card with instructions on each occasion.

 

Customs, taxes & duties

Please note that customs and duties are to the charge of the customer. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be paid for by you. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they might be.

Local Returns

For orders delivered within Lebanon or the UAE, Orient 499 is happy to provide returns if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase. You have 15 days from when you received your order to have your items sent back to us. We will refund you in the form of Orient 499 store credit for any future purchases on our website or in-store, valid for one year. Orient 499 does not provide any cash or credit card refunds.

Please note that all products must be in their original packaging and not used or damaged to be accepted for return. Orders past 15 days will not be accepted. Returned clothes, if washed or worn, will be refused. In case you ordered a product and requested a return and the product was found to be damaged you will not be given store credit and Orient 499 has the right to refuse the return.

International Returns

Orient 499 does not provide free shipping for returns made outside of Lebanon and the UAE. The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost and custom duties. 

Should you choose to refuse a shipment, DHL will return the shipment to its origin, and the customer is responsible for the return cost as well as the custom duties. When you request a return, please contact office@orient499.com and specify whether you would like a store credit or an exchange within 15 days from the day you received your purchased product.

Items can be returned if the merchandise is in the exact condition in which it was shipped. Returns that do not meet this policy will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer.
Customized items cannot be returned or exchanged.

Return instructions

To process a return, please contact Orient 499 Customer Care at customercare@orient499.com or call us at +961 1 369 499 (Lebanon) or +971 58 582 1299 (UAE)

1. Email: customercare@orient499.com stating your order number and the products you would like to return. Please include your phone number in the event we need to call you for additional information. Please let us know if the item was a gift.
2. Once your email is received and return request is approved, we will send you an email containing your return label and Return ID.
3. Please enter your Return ID on the form given, and include with your return.
4. Please print and attach the return label onto your shipping box and drop off at your nearest DHL location. You may also schedule a pickup with any of these mail carriers.
5. Once the return has been processed by us, you will receive an online store credit valid for one year.
